Curt Betcher:
Owner/producer Curt Betcher has been in the video production business in San Diego for over 30 years. From 1988 until 2013 he was the Director of Video Communications for Jack in the Box restaurants. During his career, he produced hundreds of video programs in the following categories: Training, Operation, Internal Communication, Corporate Imag, Corporate Event, Marketing, External Communications
Additionally, from 1980 to 1988, he partnered in a multitude of specialized corporate video communication projects while a principal of Tricom Video. His work earned the respect of many corporate executives as well as distinguished industry organizations. Over the years, his collection of awards and trophies speak highly to the level of professionalism and quality displayed in his video work.
Bill Biersach:
Bill Biersach, senior lecturer at USC Thornton, studied electronic music at USC under current faculty member Frederick Lesemann. He taught beginning and advanced Synthesizer Techniques classes from 1975 to 2009, and assisted Richard McIlvery in revamping and expanding the Recording Arts Workshop program, which later became the Music Industry program, from 1984 through 2003.
In 1988 he created what has become one of the most popular courses on campus: The Beatles: Their Music and Their Times. The course was selected by Student Affairs as one of the Top Ten Classes at USC in 2012. For the past six years he has been invited by Orientation Programs to present a sample lecture to the parents of incoming freshmen. His most popular topic has been: Strawberry Fields Forever: The Beatles’ Impossible Song.
